Senate President Appoints Unite Oregon Organizer to the Wildfire Programs Advisory Council

Early this month, Senate president Rob Wagner and House Speaker Dan Rayfield appointed Rene Braga, Unite Oregon community organizer, to the Wildfire Programs Advisory Council to represent the environmental justice community.
The Wildfire Programs Advisory Council was established in 2021 to implement policies that prevent and respond to wildfire. The aim of the council is to make more fire resilient communities and landscapes in Oregon as wildfires become more and more common in our state.
