Beaverton Inclusive Housing Cohort: Favorite Childhood Memory Report
In partnership with the City of Beaverton, our Beaverton Inclusive Housing Cohort (BIHC) held a workshop on December 7th for members of three cohorts to network and meet in person. The cohorts decided to participate in an ice-breaker workshop and share their favorite childhood memory through a build & tell activity organized by Salazar Architect Inc. The idea behind this activity is that we all share similar experiences, despite growing up differently, whether living in urban, suburban or rural places, whether born in the US or immigrated. The workshop builds cross-cultural understanding, using artistic methods rather than analytical methods. The ice-breaker was conducted by Christian Tellez and Ernestina Fuenmayor in both English and Spanish with the help of translators and Salazar Architect support staff.
