Contract Political Field Organizer
Position Title: Contract Political Field Organizer
Duration: Limited Duration, September, 2024- November 5th, 2024
Compensation: $21.63 per hour. Able to work M-Th 3-8 PM and/or Sa/Su 10 AM- 3 PM. Must be available to work 10 hours a week minimum, not to exceed 40 hours per week.
Location: In-person outdoor work with occasional in-office or virtual meetings. Expected to live in or around Multnomah and Clackamas counties and commute across counties to job sites.

Overview
This position reports to the Political Director and Lead Political Coordinators.
Position Description
The Political Field Organizer will work closely with the Political team and UO/A members, partners, and staff to
conduct political field activities. The Political Director reports to the Deputy Director and Executive Director.
Project Summary
Carry out field activities aligned with current UO/A project, including door knocking, phone/text banking, and event tabling.
Position Responsibilities
● Carry out field activities including but not limited to door knocking, phone/text banking, and event tabling.
● Complete assigned field duties and quotas each week.
● Use campaign related applications including but not limited to VAN, ThruText, Google Phone and Google Suite. Download Voter Action Network app (VAN) on a personal cell phone.
● Use assigned applications to carry out field work and track data.
● Learn active campaign information and communications for each project.
● Expected to engage in activities like walking, sitting, and commuting.
Reporting Requirements
● Check-in with the Policy Director or Lead Coordinators after each shift
● Submit field work data after each shift
● Track and submit work hours
● Complete and submit invoices through Bills.com
Desired Experience:
● A member of Unite or part of the communities we represent. Can not be a current staff member of Unite Oregon.
● Demonstrated commitment to social and racial justice
● Experience in community advocacy or campaign work
● Effective communicator, both written and verbal in English
● Experience carrying out work alone and in groups
● Ability to work evenings and weekends
