Literature Drop for Decriminalization

Sign up below to help us canvass and get the word out! We will leave literature at doors regarding the impacts of House Bill 4002 in your county. We will stipend volunteers $22/hr up to $500. Let us know your availability below, so we can choose the best day for everyone.

In 2020, voters passed Ballot Measure 110 to decriminalize small amounts of drugs and provide treatment instead of incarceration. Legislators are trying to pass House Bill 4002 without our input. It will recriminalize possession and undo what voters worked so hard to pass.

In a Racial Impact Statement shared by the legislature, it was stated that African Americans will be criminalized at a higher rate and Latinx people will serve longer sentences than white Americans. They've heard thousands of testimonies asking them not to pass this bill, and yet, they feel they have to in order to save their political campaigns because polling data and wealthy former chief of prisons, Max Williams, told them to.
