The Beaverton Organizing and Leadership Development Program

Welcome to the 12th year of partnership between the City of Beaverton and Unite Oregon!

We're excited to announce the launch of the BOLD 2024 program, designed to empower 15-18 participants with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive change in their communities.

The BOLD 2024 cohort will embark on a journey to gain profound insights into city policies and decision-making processes. Through this program, participants will develop essential leadership, community organizing, and advocacy skills, fostering a network of influential alumni dedicated to supporting community goals.

Structured around four key objectives, the BOLD 2024 Program aims to:

  1. Deepen understanding of local government structures, functions, and services, empowering participants to engage effectively.

  2. Equip participants with concrete leadership, community organizing, and advocacy skills.

  3. Provide insights into research, alternative solutions, and recommended actions tailored to specific projects or programs (such as the Affordable Housing Program, Long Range Planning, and Cultural Inclusion), enhancing community capacity and engagement.

  4. Contribute to creating a vibrant, multicultural Beaverton that embraces inclusivity for all its residents.

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of shaping the future of Beaverton! Applications for the BOLD 2024 program are due by April 30th, 2024!
