Turning a New Chapter: Executive Director Khanh Le's Departure

Today, we share the news of our Executive Director Khanh Le's departure and send our heartfelt wishes as he starts a new chapter. Khanh has been deeply connected to our organization and its predecessor, Oregon Action, starting from his volunteer days as a high school student to his role on the Board of Directors and as our dedicated Executive Director for the past three years. Our members, community, and staff express gratitude to Khanh for his strong leadership and valuable guidance.

Nuhamin Eiden will step in as our Interim Executive Director while we commence the search for a new ED. The Boards of Directors of Unite Oregon and Unite Oregon Action will conduct a thorough search for a new Executive Director to lead our organization forward. Starting in June 2024, we will collaborate with a recruitment firm to find a dedicated and skilled leader who shares our mission and can guide our impactful work. Our goal is to finalize the recruitment process and welcome a new executive director in the Fall of 2024.

Nuhamin has been involved with Unite Oregon since joining first as a member of our Pan-Immigrant Leadership and Organizing Training program. After graduating from the PILOT program, Nuhamin continued their involvement on the Multnomah County Leadership Council and as we grew to a statewide organization, she served on the board of directors before officially joining the staff as the Southwest Corridor Equity Coalition Manager. In 2021, Nuhamin was promoted to Community Development Director and began building a thriving community development team.
